Leadhills Collections

Waste and Recycling in Leadhills is managed by South Lanarkshire Council. There are three bin colours used locally, dark grey/ black for normal waste, pale grey for plastic, metal and glass and blue for cardboard and paper. Composites like fruit juice cartons cannot currently be recycled in our area. Collections are on Thursdays.

Bulky items are collected by arrangement on Wednesdays – call 03031-231020 and follow prompts menu to arrange collection. This service is normally free for the first collection in any financial year, £30.90 for each uplift thereafter. Read more…

There are a number of Civic amenities locally, including a small recycling centre for glass and paper etc., adjacent to the School on main Street. Larkhall is our closest Lanarkshire waste and recycling site, one of six in South Lanarkshire.
